NATO "Allies to Strengthen Troops in Eastern Europe"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Ambassadors of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) member countries agreed on the 24th (local time) to strengthen land, sea, and air forces in Eastern Europe near Ukraine and Russia in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to foreign media.
After an emergency meeting on the same day, NATO ambassadors stated in a press release that additional ground and air forces would be deployed to the eastern region of the alliance, and naval forces would also be increased.
They added that they would also enhance the readiness of the forces to prepare for all contingencies.
