Dong-Eui University Selected as a Hub Specialized University for the University Job Plus Center Project
6 Consecutive Years as an Excellent University Job Center Operator
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui University was selected on the 23rd as the ‘Priority Negotiation University for This Year’s University Job Plus Center (Hub-type Specialized Program Operating University)’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
With this project selection, Dong-Eui University will receive an annual project fund of 750 million KRW from the government and Busan City, totaling up to 3.75 billion KRW over five years.
Dong-Eui University was selected as a pilot university for the previous project, the ‘University Job Center Project,’ in 2015.
From 2016 to 2021, it was the only university in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region to be selected as an excellent institution for operating the University Job Center for six consecutive years.
The University Job Center operation evaluation is conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to assess the overall capabilities of universities nationwide in the fields of career, employment, and entrepreneurship.
Lee Kwang-ui, Director of the Talent Development Office at Dong-Eui University, said, “We will enhance the overall support system and framework to help Dong-Eui University students and young people in the Busan area with career planning and employment.”
The Talent Development Office and University Job Center at Dong-Eui University provide career guidance and employment counseling online and offline through nine career and employment professional consultants. They also operate a system where professors in charge of career and employment are assigned by department and major.
As a hub institution in the Busan area, they also carry out various career and employment support programs linked with the local community.
