Namwon-si Selects 24 Teams for Onnamwon Community Contest Project
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] The Jeonbuk Namwon Community Support Center (Director Ahn Sang-yeon) announced on the 22nd that it has finally selected a total of 24 teams to participate in the ‘2022 Community Activity Support On Namwon Community Public Contest Project’ aimed at revitalizing local communities and restoring community spirit.
The 24 selected teams (Seed 11, Stem 10, Fruit 3) will plan and execute projects on their own in various fields such as village culture, sharing and care, village co-parenting, and village environmental conservation, working together to create a community world of coexistence.
Among the main selected teams, the Seed team ‘Saerobaram Jikimi,’ composed of graduates of last year’s resource circulation keeper course from the Community Support Center, plans to carry out an environmental campaign linked to rural villages.
The ‘Hyanggyo-dong Village Community Promotion Group’ will also create the ‘Hyanggyo Village Heritage Signboard’ proposed by the Hyanggyo-dong Village Planning Group formed last year, tailored to the residents’ perspective, and the ‘Together Living Happy Community’ of Igreen Apartment plans to carry out a year-round project under the theme of making a happiness box with books.
The Stem team ‘Human Sia Love Association,’ which has experience in public contest projects, following last year’s Seed stage project of creating an apartment sharing garden with 83 households of Human Sia Apartment residents and cultivating a small garden, plans to add potted gardens this year to create a warm and affectionate apartment community.
‘Nespa,’ which supports cultural welfare activities for elderly people in welfare blind spots, will also continue its activities.
The Fruit team ‘Dalbit Sori Broadcasting’ will record the history, culture, and stories of people in Namwon as a village broadcast more valuable than central broadcasting, and the ‘Ayung-a Dream Parents Association,’ which gathers the strength of the whole village to support children in securing educational and cultural experiences for children in Ayung-myeon, will also show unwavering community activities.
Director Ahn Sang-yeon said, “As the COVID-19 pandemic situation continues, the importance of community activities grows, and through the On Namwon Community Public Contest Project, we will support improving village autonomy, resident welfare, and quality of life.”
