Gwangju City Election Commission Files Charges Against 3 Group Members for Violating Public Official Election Act
Charges Including Banner Posting, Distribution of Printed Materials, and Assembly Since November 2021

They are suspected of posting banners that influenced the election, distributing printed materials, and holding rallies opposing specific candidates in major areas of Gwangju city from November last year to this month.
The Public Official Election Act stipulates that no one may post facilities or distribute printed materials to influence the election from 180 days before the election day until the election day itself without following the provisions of this law, and no one may hold rallies to influence the election during the election period.
Violations of this law are punishable by imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 4 million won.
