Home&Shopping Maintains Credibility in Information Security and Personal Data Protection
Maintaining Certification After 20 Years of ISMS-P Acquisition and Follow-up Audits
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Home&Shopping announced on the 22nd that it has undergone the second follow-up audit for the ‘Information Security and Personal Information Protection Management System’ (ISMS-P) certification and has maintained the certification.
ISMS-P is a security management system that integrates the ‘Personal Information Protection Management System Certification, etc. Notice’ jointly announced by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Communications Commission, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. It verifies the establishment and operation of management procedures and physical, technical, and administrative protection measures to safeguard key information assets from various security threats.
To obtain the certification, a total of 102 certification criteria across each area must be met, and the suitability review by the certification committee must be passed. The certification is maintained for three years after acquisition, and its continuation is reviewed through follow-up audits during the period. Home&Shopping first acquired the certification in 2020 and underwent the second follow-up audit in October last year. Home&Shopping explained that by maintaining the certification as a result of the audit, it will provide customers with a safe shopping environment.
