Hwasun-gun Supports 'Electric Vehicle Purchase Costs' to Reduce Fine Dust
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun County announced on the 22nd that it will provide "electric vehicle purchase subsidies" to reduce fine dust and improve air quality.
The county will spend 1.884 billion KRW to support the purchase costs of 50 electric passenger cars and 56 electric cargo vehicles.
The subsidies will be provided differentially by vehicle type based on the effect of improving air quality, with up to 14.5 million KRW per electric passenger car and up to 25.33 million KRW per electric cargo vehicle.
Eligible applicants include residents who have had an address in Hwasun County for more than 90 days as of the application date, as well as corporations and institutions with business sites located in Hwasun County.
The county will accept applications on a first-come, first-served basis according to vehicle delivery and registration order until the budget is exhausted, selecting subsidy recipients accordingly.
Those wishing to receive the subsidy should consult with the vehicle manufacturer or dealer, complete the application form, and submit it to the manufacturer or dealer.
The available vehicle models can be checked on the Ministry of Environment's Zero-Emission Vehicle integrated website, and application methods and support procedures can be found on the county office's website under public notices.
