I was particularly attracted to the usability of Zepeto Creator, where avatars can directly wear fashion items I designed, and I was able to envision the future. This became a precious opportunity for me to resolve to actively support juniors at my alma mater, Silla University, in building specialized metaverse capabilities."
Professor Kwon Young-ah, head of the Department of Fashion Design and Gong’s graduate advisor, said, "As the COVID-19 situation prolongs, the metaverse world, where people seek a sense of reality in the virtual online world, is rapidly taking root. This award won by a graduate of Silla University’s Department of Fashion Design makes me very happy and proud as an advisor. I expect Professor Gong Da-ye to play an important role in nurturing creative fashion convergence experts in the metaverse environment, which is expected to become increasingly important."
