Jeju Fire Station Promotes 'Zero Ship Fire Project'
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station (Chief Ko Jae-woo) announced on the 21st that it will promote the 'Zero Ship Fire Project' to prepare for the frequently occurring ship fires.
On this day, training was conducted targeting major ports and harbors within the jurisdiction of Jeju Fire Station to practice ship fire suppression.
Additionally, seawater suction training was conducted to secure firefighting water in case of ship fires, and an encirclement attack using a high-rise articulated ladder truck was carried out, focusing on initial response and prevention of fire spread.
Ko Jae-woo, Chief of Jeju Fire Station, said, "Through the 'Zero Ship Fire Project,' we will do our best to ensure rapid initial response in case of ship fires and to protect the safety and property of residents."
