Muan-gun Supports 80% of Livestock Disaster Insurance
Compensation of 60~80% for Damage to 16 Livestock Species Including Cattle and Pigs
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County is supporting 80% of the livestock disaster insurance subscription fee (50% national subsidy, 30% local subsidy) to promote the management stability of livestock farms in preparation for various disasters.
The livestock disaster insurance subscription fee support project is a policy insurance designed to compensate farms for damages caused by unexpected diseases, excluding natural disasters, fires, and statutory infectious diseases.
The support targets livestock farms and corporations that have livestock breeding business permits (registrations) and have registered agricultural management information for the relevant livestock species.
The eligible livestock species include 16 types: cattle, horses, pigs, and eight types of poultry (chicken, duck, pheasant, quail, turkey, ostrich, goose, ornamental birds), as well as five other types (deer, sheep, honeybees, rabbits, badgers).
In addition to livestock, livestock facilities such as barns where livestock are raised can also be insured as special contracts, and compensation of 60% to 100% of the damage amount can be received in case of damage.
The county plans to support insurance subscriptions throughout the year in the order of application until the budget is exhausted, and the insurance period is one year from the date of subscription.
If you wish to subscribe, you can consult and apply at the nearest agricultural or livestock cooperative disaster insurance counter.
