Yeonggwang-gun to Recruit Students for 'Learning Our History Correctly' Course Until the 2nd of Next Month
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] The Yeonggwang-gun Youth Culture Center in Jeollanam-do is recruiting participants for the "Understanding Our History Correctly" program from the 22nd of this month to the 2nd of next month.
According to the county on the 18th, this program was prepared to stimulate youths' interest in history and to cultivate their capabilities as democratic citizens with a proper historical consciousness.
The program consists of five sessions: The Beginning of History! Prehistoric Era, Seize the Han River! The Peak of the Three Kingdoms, Brilliant Culture, History of Goryeo, Let's Learn About the Confucian Scholars of the Joseon Confucian State, and The Path of Patriotism during the Japanese Colonial Period.
Also, from the 5th of next month to April 2nd, the program will be conducted every Saturday for two hours through a non-face-to-face video education platform, and outstanding participants will be given the opportunity to participate in youth history exploration.
This free program is open to youths aged 10 to 19 residing in the district, and they can apply through the Youth Culture Center's Band bulletin board.
A representative of the Yeonggwang-gun Youth Culture Center said, "Although opportunities for youth program participation have been reduced due to the spread of COVID-19, we will continue to discover and promote various non-face-to-face programs to support healthy leisure activities and emotional development for youths."
