Embezzlement Charges Under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] An employee of Gyeyang Electric, accused of embezzling 24.5 billion won of company funds, will undergo a pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review).
According to the Suseo Police Station in Seoul on the 18th, Kim, a man in his 30s and an employee of Gyeyang Electric, who is charged with embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, will have his warrant review at the Seoul Central District Court at 3:30 PM today.
The police applied for an arrest warrant for Kim on suspicion of embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes the day before. The police obtained a warrant to seize Kim's bank accounts from the court and plan to investigate the flow of funds. No accomplices have been identified so far.
