Mokpo Coast Guard Urgently Transports Patient with Respiratory Distress off Sinan Songdo Coast
Crew Member on Anchored Vessel Complains of Breathing Difficulty and Severe Chest Pain
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Coast Guard urgently transported a patient suffering from respiratory distress from the sea near Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do to the mainland.
According to the Mokpo Coast Guard Station on the 17th, at around 10:17 a.m., a report was received that crew member B (50 years old) of nearshore gillnet fishing vessel A (13 tons, 8 crew members), which was anchored off Songdo, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, was experiencing shortness of breath and severe chest pain.
The Coast Guard dispatched a coastal rescue boat from the local police station, boarded B at the scene, and quickly moved to Songdo Port, where the waiting 119 rescue team took over.
With the help of the Coast Guard, B was transported to the mainland and transferred to a large hospital in Mokpo for detailed examination and is currently undergoing treatment.
