On the 17th, the Ministry of National Defense announced that 458 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed. The additional confirmed cases are distributed as follows: Army 279, Navy 33, Marine Corps 46, Air Force 75, Direct units under the Ministry of National Defense 20, Ministry of National Defense 2, and Combined Forces Command 3.

The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the military is 10,282, of which 2,784 are currently under management. It has been two years since the first confirmed case occurred in the military in February 2020, marking the first time the cumulative confirmed cases have exceeded 10,000.
