"Immune-Boosting Products Surge" iHerb Reports 22% Sales Growth in Korean Market Last Year
Immune Boosting and Vitamin Product Sales Increase by 50-70%
Joint, Antioxidant, and Digestive System Products Also Show Growth
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] iHerb announced on the 17th that its sales in the Korean market increased by 22% compared to the previous year. The product categories driving sales growth were probiotics and multivitamins, which support immune system enhancement.
Last year, iHerb's top 5 best-selling products were CGN LactoBif Probiotics, Sports Research Omega-3 Fish Oil, Life Extension Two Per Day Multivitamins, CGN Gold C, and Thorne Basic Nutrients Two Per Day. Among these, four products are health functional foods closely related to immune enhancement, including probiotics and vitamins.
Sales of CGN LactoBif Probiotics, which help improve immunity and gut health, increased by 24.43% compared to the previous year. This product has ranked first in overall iHerb sales for several years and is gaining increasing popularity in Korea as well.
Sales of CGN Gold C in the Korean market rose by 70.87%, and Life Extension Two Per Day Multivitamins increased by 55.7%. Additionally, bone health and joint product categories saw a 37.5% increase, while antioxidant and digestive health product categories recorded sales growth rates of 31.7% and 22.9%, respectively.
An iHerb representative stated, "Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, immune support products have shown steep sales growth not only in the Korean market but globally over the past few years. This trend is expected to continue this year as well."
