Heavy Snow Warning Issued for Parts of Gwangju and Jeonnam... Up to 7cm
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hyung-joo] Snow is falling in various parts of the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, with a heavy snow advisory issued.
A heavy snow advisory is currently in effect for three areas: Jangseong and Yeonggwang in Jeonnam, and Gwangju.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration as of 6 PM on the 16th, the snowfall amounts recorded were 0.9 cm at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology and 2.1 cm in Jangseong.
No snowfall has been recorded yet in Yeonggwang, Jeonnam, but the Meteorological Administration forecasts that snowfall will increase as temperatures gradually drop from tonight.
The expected snowfall by dawn on the 17th is 2?7 cm in northwestern Jeonnam, 1?5 cm in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and less than 0.1 cm of snow flurries along the eastern southern coast.
