Opening of 'Gyeonggi Structural Innovation Support Center' to Support SMEs and Venture Companies in New Industry Fields
Comprehensive Support for Business Transformation, Digital Transformation, and Labor Transformation
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] The 'Gyeonggi Structural Innovation Support Center,' established to support the transition of small and venture businesses in Gyeonggi Province to new industrial sectors, held its opening ceremony on the 16th and opened its doors on the 11th floor of the Small and Medium Business Corporation Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters at the Gyeonggi Provincial Economic Science Promotion Agency.
The 'Structural Innovation Support Center' is a hub institution newly established and operated nationwide by the government (Small and Medium Business Corporation) starting this year to support small and venture businesses in innovating their business structures in response to the rapidly changing industrial structure trends such as carbon neutrality and digital transformation.
The Gyeonggi Center is the first hub to open nationwide and plays a role in supporting business transitions (industry changes, adding industries, etc.), digital transformation (such as smart factory implementation), and labor transitions for small and venture businesses within the province by operating a collaborative system with related organizations.
Additionally, it plans to discover corporate demands and promote everything from business diagnosis to consulting and linking support projects (business transition funds, export vouchers, research and development, employment promotion incentives, etc.).
The opening ceremony was attended by Kwon Chil-seung, Minister of SMEs and Startups; Ahn Kyung-duk, Minister of Employment and Labor; Lee Han-gyu, Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province; and Yoo Moon-jong, Second Deputy Mayor of Suwon.
