Korea Securities Depository Securities Museum Holds "World Tour with Securities II"
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Securities Depository Securities Museum announced on the 16th that it conducted a special winter vacation program titled "World Tour with Securities II" for 3rd to 6th grade elementary students from the 24th of last month to the 6th of this month.
This program is the second non-face-to-face educational program following the summer vacation program "World Tour with Securities" held in August last year. It was designed with the concept of traveling the world, which has been limited due to COVID-19, through securities artifacts.
Students learn the basic concepts and roles of securities through educational materials (pop-up books) and understand the countries (companies) issuing securities and related industries featured in the securities artifacts while completing the pop-up book themselves in a hands-on learning experience. The Securities Museum accepted participants through its website for seven days starting January 10th and selected 400 participants by lottery. The selected participants were provided with the educational materials (pop-up books) in advance to study freely during the education period. Additionally, separate participation opportunities were offered to elementary students at child and youth institutions sponsored by the KSD Sharing Foundation and social welfare facilities in the Busan area.
