Hyundai Capital, Hyundai Motor Group Electric Vehicle Model Lease and Rent Pre-Reservation
Fast Implementation Possible for Electric Vehicle Subsidies
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hyundai Capital announced on the 16th that it will conduct pre-reservations for lease and rental products for electric vehicle models of Hyundai Motor Group.
Hyundai Capital's pre-reservation for electric vehicle lease and rental targets Hyundai Motor's Ioniq 5, Genesis GV60 and GV70 EV (upcoming release), G80 EV, and Kia EV6, and will be available until April 28.
Hyundai Capital's electric vehicle lease and long-term rental cars allow customers to pay acquisition tax and automobile tax in installments when purchasing a vehicle, reducing the initial lump-sum burden, and can be used with monthly payments cheaper than installment plans.
For example, in the case of the Ioniq 5, based on a vehicle price of 49.8 million KRW, using an electric vehicle lease for 48 months allows usage with a monthly payment of 800,000 KRW. Applying the electric vehicle subsidy (based on 10 million KRW) makes it about 200,000 KRW cheaper. Additionally, if the contract period reaches 24 months, the contract can be terminated without early termination fees.
Hyundai Capital also handles cumbersome tasks for electric vehicle customers. Representative services include applying for electric vehicle subsidies, vehicle registration and delivery, and payment of fines/penalties. Furthermore, applying for lease and rental pre-reservation allows customers to receive government electric vehicle subsidies quickly and prioritize subsidies from regions with higher support rates.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Capital plans to offer customers who confirm vehicle delivery through pre-reservation electric vehicle charging credits (500,000 to 1,500,000 KRW) or home electric vehicle chargers (worth about 1,100,000 KRW) with up to 18% discount benefits, and also provide car wash coupon discount services. Additionally, the first 500 customers will receive a premium car diffuser as a gift, and an event will be held where customers who leave pre-reservation reviews on Instagram will receive gifticons.
