Sejong's Population Grows 3.8 Times Since Launch with 380,000 Residents
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The population of Sejong City has surpassed 380,000. This comes just over five months after reaching 370,000 in August last year.
According to the city on the 16th, as of the 14th, the registered population in Sejong, including overseas Koreans and foreigners, is counted at 380,067.
Reflecting that the population was 100,751 when Sejong City was launched on July 1, 2012, the total population has increased by 279,316 in less than ten years, averaging about 2,300 new residents per month in the region.
In particular, this year, 3,259 households in apartment complexes are scheduled to move in, and the city expects the population growth trend to continue for the time being.

Lee Chun-hee, mayor of Sejong City, said, "As expectations for the completion of the administrative capital grow, the population of Sejong is also expected to continue increasing," adding, "The city will strive to make Sejong a city where people want to live together."
