Pledge to Dismantle the Chaebol Republic and the Real Estate Speculation Republic
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 15th, the day Kim Jae-yeon, the Progressive Party's presidential candidate, officially began her campaign, she appealed for support, saying, "I will embark on the path of a political revolution for working people, where the sweat of laborers shines."
At the campaign kickoff rally held in front of the CJ Logistics headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, Kim said during her campaign speech, "I will stop warm politics that only offer comfort and wipe tears beside suffering workers," adding, "I will start a vigorous fight by encouraging workers and the suffering people of this land to have the courage to build our own strength and change the world."
Kim pledged to dismantle the conglomerate republic, dismantle the real estate speculation republic, dismantle the republic of gender discrimination and sexual violence, lead a climate transformation driven by working people, and improve the South Korea-U.S. alliance system and inter-Korean relations.
The rally was attended by delivery workers, school irregular workers, and mart workers, among others.

After the kickoff rally, Kim held a Korean Peninsula Peace Declaration signing ceremony at the Progressive Party headquarters in the afternoon, followed by a policy agreement ceremony with the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions’ National Health and Medical Industry Labor Union at their office. In the evening, she will also hold a policy meeting with the LGBTQ Parents Association. On the 16th, she plans to visit Ulsan to continue campaigning at Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Motor Company.
