The People Power Party's Gwangju Election Countermeasures Committee is appealing for support while cheering for presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol at Gwangju Station on the 15th.

About 100 party members and supporters of the People Power Party gathered at Gwangju Station Square, repeatedly shouting candidate Yoon Seok-yeol's name and calls for regime change to appeal for support.
The kickoff rally, held to pledge victory in the presidential election ahead of the campaign starting that day, was broadcast live in a multi-site relay connecting Seoul, Gwangju, Busan, Daegu, and Daejeon.
Song Gi-seok, the Gwangju General Election Committee Chairman, along with the People Power Party Gwangju City Party Chairman and district committee chairmen, also took the stage on the campaign vehicle to appeal for support for candidate Yoon Seok-yeol.
Chairman Song began by saying, "This once prosperous Gwangju Station has declined like this," and added, "I stand here to revive Gwangju Station and Gwangju."
Song Gi-seok, the head of the People Power Party's Gwangju campaign committee, is appealing for support for candidate Yoon Seok-yeol at the kickoff rally on the 15th.
View original imageHe continued, "Candidate Yoon has pledged to make Gwangju a hub for future industries," and said, "If excellent companies are attracted to our region and jobs are created, our future generations will have no reason to leave Gwangju."
He added, "Now Gwangju, and Honam, must respond to candidate Yoon," and "We must contribute to regime change with a vote share of over 30%."
Ha Heon-sik, the Seo-gu Eul district committee chairman, also took the stage, raising his voice, "How long must we support a particular party?" and "We have lost happiness and a bright tomorrow until now."
He further appealed, "Our Gwangju must overwhelmingly support Yoon Seok-yeol, the icon of fairness and common sense, to ensure his election."
Meanwhile, the People Power Party Gwangju Election Committee launched the ‘Kickboard Campaign Team, KickSeok-yeol,’ composed of university students, which will roam around university areas, apartment complexes, traditional markets, and various parts of Gwangju.
