[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Muju County announced on the 15th that it will produce a "Muju Short Documentary" to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Muju Sangol Film Festival this year and is collecting photos and video materials from before 1990.
The documentary aims to remember and record Muju's past based on old landscapes of Muju and videos and photos of its residents. Director Lee Dong-woo, who won the Grand Prize (New Vision Award) and Film Critic Award at the 9th Muju Sangol Film Festival, will direct the film.
The materials for film production will be collected by the Muju Sangol Cultural Foundation until March 31.
Anyone who has videos or photos (black-and-white and color photos, film, videotapes containing people, families, landscapes, local and family events) set in Muju before the 1990s can submit them to the administrative welfare centers of each eup and myeon.
If the submitted videos or photos are used in the Muju short documentary, a small prize will be provided, and the originals will be returned along with digital files compatible with mobile phones and computers.
The completed Muju short documentary, based on the collected materials, will be screened at the 10th Muju Sangol Film Festival and submitted to domestic and international film festivals.
