LH to Supply 10,000 Housing Units in Q1 This Year... Twice Last Year's Amount
Half of the Supply in the Capital Area
Supply Plan for This Year to Be Finalized by the End of This Month
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) will supply about 10,000 housing units in the first quarter of this year.
According to LH on the 15th, starting with the announcement of tenant recruitment for 1,498 public sale housing units at Paju Unjeong3 A16BL conducted on the 28th of last month, housing supply will be actively promoted from this month. The total number of housing units to be supplied in the first quarter of this year, including the units supplied in January, reaches 10,031 units. This is more than double the 5,010 units supplied during the same period last year.
Relatively high-demand areas in the metropolitan region will receive 5,331 units, while 4,700 units will be supplied in provincial areas. Tenant recruitment announcements will be made for 2,679 units in January, 4,913 units in February, and 2,439 units in March, respectively.
By housing type, there are 4,238 sale housing units and 5,793 construction rental housing units. For construction rental housing, the breakdown is ▲Happy Housing 2,371 units ▲Integrated Rental 1,181 units ▲National Rental Housing 1,112 units ▲Permanent Rental Housing 613 units ▲Newlywed Hope Town (Happy Housing) 516 units.
LH plans to supply 150,000 public sale and rental housing units this year. Including the private housing pre-sale units built on public land supplied by LH, the total supply volume is about 180,000 units. Detailed supply volumes, types, and other housing supply plans for this year will be finalized and disclosed by the end of this month.
In particular, pre-sale applications for this year’s public sale housing will begin at the end of this month. The first pre-sale target districts are Namyangju Wangsuk, Namyangju Wangsuk2, Incheon Gyeyang, and Incheon Gajeong2, supplying about 2,000 units across these four project districts. Additionally, in March, the second pre-sale will supply about 1,000 units in Incheon Yeongjong and Pyeongtaek Godeok.

An LH official stated, "We will do our best this year as well to stabilize the real estate market and establish a more robust housing safety net."
