Hampyeong-gun Accepting Applications for Wildlife Damage Prevention Facility Installation Project Until the 2nd of Next Month
60% Support for Installation Costs of Electric Fencing and Warning Devices
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County in Jeonnam is implementing the ‘Wildlife Damage Prevention Facility Installation Support Project’ to prevent crop damage caused by harmful wild animals.
According to the county on the 14th, the ‘Wildlife Damage Prevention Facility Installation Support Project’ will be promoted to support the installation costs of electric fences, warning devices, and others to prevent recurring crop damage caused by wild animals such as wild boars and water deer every year.
The support target is agricultural managers who have resided in Hampyeong County for more than one year and cultivate fruit trees, specialty crops, or agricultural products.
However, farms that have received support through related projects such as the Ministry of Agriculture’s FTA fund are excluded.
The support fund will be provided up to a maximum of 10 million KRW per farm (with a 40% self-payment) within the budget range.
If the requested amount exceeds the budget, the final recipients will be selected through the Wildlife Damage Compensation Deliberation Committee, reflecting priorities such as the scale of damage.
Farmers wishing to participate in the project can apply with related documents such as an application form and installation plan at their local eup/myeon office by the 2nd of next month.
