Focused Training of Financial Security Experts... Financial Security Institute, "900,000 People to be Educated This Year"
New Courses Established for 16 Innovative Technologies Including AI, Cloud, and MyData
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The Financial Security Institute is actively training financial security professionals necessary for the digital transformation of finance and data innovation.
On the 14th, the Financial Security Institute announced that it will operate a total of 82 training courses this year and educate 900,000 people. This is with the intention of cultivating financial security professionals needed due to the acceleration of digital transformation in finance, the intelligence and sophistication of cyber threats in finance, and the convergence of finance and innovative technologies. Over the past three years (2019-2021), an average of 850,000 people per year have completed the Financial Security Institute’s training courses.
In particular, this year, 16 new innovative technology courses including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, and MyData (Personal Credit Information Management Service) have been newly established. This is to focus more on training professionals necessary for the digital transformation of finance and data innovation.
Additionally, the institute will operate the "6th Financial Security Executive Course," which teaches information protection and security strategies, digital financial innovation policies, and technologies to financial company executives preparing for the post-COVID-19 era.
Kim Cheol-woong, President of the Financial Security Institute, said, "According to the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s ‘Global Cybersecurity Outlook Report 2022,’ the shortage of cybersecurity professionals is appearing across all industries, becoming a major threat not only to companies but also to national security. As securing professionals capable of performing digital financial security and data protection has become more important than ever, we plan to intensively train financial security professionals."
