Woo Sang-ho: "Lee's approval rating, which fell up to 8% due to Yoon's political retaliation remarks, reverses to rise"
"Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung Approval Rating Gap Narrows to Within Margin of Error Again"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 13th, the Democratic Party of Korea analyzed that the approval ratings of Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, and Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate, have become a close race within the margin of error again over this weekend. They explained that the consolidation of the pro-government camp's support accelerated following Yoon's remark about the 'investigation into deep-rooted evils' last week.

Woo explained, "Several opinion polls will probably be released over this weekend, but even according to our internal surveys, the candidate's approval rating, which had fallen by as little as 4-5% and as much as 7-8%, has turned back to an upward trend, and the gap between candidate Yoon and candidate Lee's approval ratings has changed into a close race within the margin of error."
He added, "We will closely monitor public opinion and devise follow-up measures accordingly."
Regarding candidate Yoon, Woo said, "Although various suspicions have been raised, they are generally condensed into three main issues ahead of the main election," citing ▲ the Daejang-dong development project and relations with Kim Man-bae and others ▲ Yoon's military service exemption suspicion ▲ allegations of stock manipulation by his spouse Kim Geon-hee.
He addressed Yoon's exemption from military service due to amblyopia, saying, "Once amblyopia occurs, it does not improve or get better, so it was recognized as a reason for military exemption. However, according to various testimonies, although the diagnosis certificate of amblyopia was attached when he was exempted, the vision tests conducted when he was appointed or reappointed as a prosecutor judged that 'it was not amblyopia.' I believe the facts regarding this issue will be confirmed soon."
Regarding Kim's stock manipulation allegations, he emphasized, "Evidence contradicting Yoon's testimony is being submitted one after another, and several grounds that inevitably confirm the facts are being raised."

Meanwhile, concerning Ahn Cheol-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Party, officially proposing the unification of opposition candidates on the same day, Woo said, "In any case, since the candidate registration has been completed and Ahn's spouse has expressed the intention to complete the race, we judge that the intention to continue is stronger. However, since politics is dynamic, it is appropriate to listen to the candidate's own position and respond accordingly."
