Shinhan Bank Opens Recruitment for First Cohort of Customer Advisory Group 'Solmate'... First 5,000 Applicants Accepted
From Surveys to Direct Participation in Projects
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Shinhan Bank announced on the 13th that it will recruit the first generation of the customer advisory group 'SOL-Mate' until the 21st.
SOL-Mate was established to quickly reflect customer opinions in products and services through activities such as surveys, suggestions, and direct participation in product and service creation projects, and to inspect and improve all banking operations from the customer's perspective.
SOL-Mate is divided into five age groups starting from teenagers, recruiting 1,000 people per age group for a total of 5,000 on a first-come, first-served basis. The activity period is in 3-month units, and anyone who is a Shinhan SOL subscriber can apply through the Shinhan SOL event page.
SOL-Mates receive My Shinhan Points such as 10,000 points for their first activity, 5,000 points for surveys and suggestion adoption, 100,000 points for project participation, and 1,000,000 points for being selected as the best opinion. Additionally, three best opinions are selected through peer voting and related department evaluations.
Shinhan Bank also plans a program where SOL-Mates selected for excellent opinions during surveys and suggestion activities propose ideas through in-depth discussions. Separate applicants will be accepted to directly participate in the ongoing New App project and will be provided with additional benefits. Through this, Shinhan plans to launch a new Shinhan SOL that reflects customer opinions as much as possible.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "The newly established customer advisory group ‘SOL-Mate’ is meaningful in that customers directly participate beyond just referencing customer opinions through communication," adding, "We hope this will be the first step in creating new financial services for customers together with them, in line with Shinhan Financial Group’s vision of 'Easier, More Comfortable, and New Finance.'"
