Chungnam Strengthens Response to Asymptomatic and Mild Cases in Elderly Patients
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province is strengthening the management of asymptomatic and mild elderly COVID-19 patients undergoing home treatment.
The province has restructured the management system to allow home treatment patients to receive consultations and prescriptions at local clinics and medical institutions instead of daily phone monitoring, and to receive consultations at the Home Treatment Medical Consultation Center.
Additionally, Cheonan Medical Center will be responsible for Cheonan and Asan, Gongju Medical Center for Gongju, Nonsan, Gyeryong, Geumsan, Buyeo, and Seocheon, Seosan Medical Center for Seosan, Dangjin, and Taean, and Hongseong Medical Center for Boryeong, Cheongyang, Yesan, and Hongseong, dividing the area into four zones for 24-hour response.
The province will provide intensive management for high-risk groups such as those aged 50 and above with underlying conditions and immunocompromised individuals, who will receive health monitoring twice a day from home treatment management medical institutions and be supplied with kits including antipyretics and thermometers.
Health monitoring will be conducted using 35 management medical institutions in the province, the base dedicated hospital (Asan Chungmu Hospital), and infectious disease dedicated hospitals (medical centers, etc.).
