Seongnam-si Launches Development of AI System for Student Competency Analysis
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is partnering with Seongnam Office of Education and DataDriven Co., Ltd. to develop a 'Student Competency Analysis Artificial Intelligence (AI) System.'
The developed system will use artificial intelligence to analyze student competencies and provide reports to parents and students. Based on these reports, it will recommend Seongnam-type educational programs tailored to the students' abilities and be utilized for consulting on career paths and college admissions.
On the 11th, Seongnam City announced that it signed a 'Seongnam-type Student Competency Analysis Artificial Intelligence (AI) System Development Memorandum of Understanding' jointly with the Seongnam Office of Education and DataDriven Co., Ltd. at the meeting room on the 2nd floor of Seongnam City Hall.
According to the agreement, the Seongnam Office of Education will cooperate in data collection and support system design, DataDriven Co., Ltd. will develop the AI system, and Seongnam City will introduce the developed AI system into educational support projects.
The three organizations will join forces as an educational community to nurture talents equipped with competencies needed for the future society.
Additionally, Seongnam City plans to utilize 1.9 billion KRW in national funds secured after being selected in last year's '2021 AI Learning Data Construction' contest hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT. This will be used for system development with 150,000 records of student activity data collected from local schools and experience centers.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Seongnam City signed the '2022 Seongnam-type Education Supplementary Agreement' with the Seongnam Office of Education.
