Gwangju Nam-gu "Policies for Youth, Made by Youth"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is publicly recruiting young people who wish to work as youth network members to discover various policies for youth and expand participation in district administration.
According to Nam-gu on the 10th, the youth network is a group that seeks solutions to youth issues and discovers various policies for youth based on the wisdom and field experience of young people, who are the main actors of the future generation.
It took its first step in 2018 as the '100 Youth Policy Committee,' and in 2019, the name was changed to 'Youth Network' to revitalize operations. Since then, it has been actively working and has established itself as a communication and cooperation channel representing local youth.
The number of recruits this time will be within 20 people to fill vacancies due to reasons such as transfers to other regions among youth members selected in March 2021 and to allow more young people to participate in district administration.
The recruitment target is young people aged 19 to 45 who reside in the district or live based in Nam-gu. Anyone can participate, including university students attending or on leave from universities located in Nam-gu, young workers, and youth active in youth organizations based in Nam-gu.
Youth who wish to work as youth network members can submit the participation application form and related documents by visiting the Innovation Policy Division on the 6th floor of Nam-gu Office or by email by the 17th.
The youth network currently operates with four subcommittees: participation communication and employment welfare, youth culture, and urban regeneration. Nam-gu plans to select youth members considering representativeness and diversity in each field of youth activities, and the final selection results will be individually notified via text message on the 24th.
