McDonald's to Raise Prices on Some Items Starting the 17th... Up to 300 Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] McDonald's announced on the 10th that it will adjust the prices of some menu items starting from the 17th.
The price adjustment applies to a total of 30 menu items. Prices will increase by a minimum of 100 KRW to a maximum of 300 KRW, with an average increase rate of 2.8% across all items. Major items with price increases include the Bulgogi Burger single and Americano. The Bulgogi Burger single will increase from 2,200 KRW to 2,300 KRW, a 100 KRW increase, while the Americano (small size) will rise from 1,700 KRW to 1,900 KRW, a 200 KRW increase.
For burger set menus, only four types?‘Bulgogi Burger Set,’ ‘Double Bulgogi Burger Set,’ ‘McChicken Mozzarella Set,’ and ‘Quarter Pounder Cheese Set’?will see price increases ranging from 200 KRW to 300 KRW. The ‘Big Mac Set’ and ‘McSpicy Shanghai Burger Set,’ which have the highest sales share, are not included in this price increase.
A McDonald's representative stated, “This price adjustment is an unavoidable decision made to provide the best products and services amid continuous increases in raw material costs and international logistics expenses,” adding, “We have made efforts to minimize the price increase to reduce the burden on customers.”
