[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 9th that it will conduct the "2022 National Business Survey" from the 9th of this month to July 6th.
The business survey, which began in 1994, is a nationwide survey led by Statistics Korea and jointly conducted by local governments across the country to understand the regional distribution and employment structure of all businesses nationwide.
The collected data is used for government and local government policy formulation and evaluation, corporate management planning, academic research, and as basic data for regional income estimation.
The city plans to survey 16,261 business establishments with one or more employees in the jurisdiction as of last year, covering 10 items such as business location, type of business, and number of employees.
The survey will primarily be conducted through on-site interviews, but considering the spread of COVID-19, telephone and distribution surveys will be conducted in parallel.
To ensure smooth survey operations and prevent COVID-19 infection, all 28 survey personnel were recruited and hired as fully vaccinated individuals.
The collected data will be used solely for statistical purposes in accordance with Article 33 of the Statistics Act, and confidentiality will be strictly protected.
A city official said, "Through detailed surveys, we will strive to establish solid policies to stabilize the management of companies and small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to revitalize the local economy. Although these are difficult times for everyone, we hope for active cooperation in the business survey so that hopes for economic recovery can be realized."
