Recruiting 40 Unemployed Youths Hoping for New Industry and Digital Technology Careers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Daegu City is recruiting young people to participate in the Youth Job Yes Matching project, which connects local youth companies with unemployed youth, until the 4th of next month.
'Yes Matching' is in its fifth year this year, providing work experience to job-seeking youth and supporting youth companies with local talent, allowing both youth and companies to grow together.
Applicants must be unemployed youth aged between 19 and 39 as of the hiring date, residing in or planning to move to Daegu City. They will receive support for various work experiences and career exploration in new industries and digital fields.
From 2018 to last year, 251 unemployed youth and 171 youth companies were matched, resulting in 140 successful employments.
This year, the period has been extended from the existing 8 months to 24 months. A retention incentive is provided to youth entering society, adding differentiation to the existing project.
Also, on March 3rd, the Itgi Expo will be held to provide job-seeking youth with opportunities to explore company information related to their desired jobs on-site.
Information about the selected youth companies can be accessed through the Daegu youth community portal 'Jeolmpeu' and the 'Itgi Expo'.
The 40 final successful candidates will start their work experience from April 1st. They will also receive support such as reimbursement for certification acquisition, consulting, psychological counseling, and advanced digital education.
