Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Provides Winter Season Safety Tips for Three Major Heating Appliances
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Western Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 8th that it will provide precautions for the use of the three major heating appliances in preparation for the winter season, when the risk of fire increases due to the use of heating products.
The three major heating appliances in winter include electric heaters, electric mats, and electric heating wires. For safe use of heating appliances, electric heaters should be checked to ensure they have safety certification (KC mark) and be installed at least 20cm away from walls.
In addition, electric mats should not be folded or crumpled, and latex products should not be placed on top of the mats. Electric heating wires should be used with temperature control sensors, and the condition of the wire insulation should be checked frequently.
