Seoul Ssangmundong 'Transit-Oriented Youth Housing' to be Supplied in February
218 Units with Exclusive Area of 17.52~39.88㎡... Scheduled for Move-in in March
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] 'Transit Station Area Youth Housing' for young adults and newlyweds will be supplied in Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul. Applications will be accepted in February, with move-in scheduled for March.
Transit Station Area Youth Housing is supplied through cooperation between the public and private sectors in transit station areas centered on public transportation. Due to excellent urban accessibility and convenient transportation, it is highly preferred by actual users.
The 'Inhere Ssangmun' to be supplied this time consists of one building with 5 basement floors and 17 above-ground floors, totaling 288 units with exclusive areas ranging from 17.52 to 39.88㎡. Among these, 218 units are available for tenant recruitment.
The supply targets are youth aged 19 to 39 who do not own a vehicle or a house (including university students) and newlywed households (including prospective newlyweds). Applications are possible regardless of whether the applicant holds a subscription savings account for housing.
The interior spaces are designed in 11 types of 1 to 2 rooms, considering the diverse lifestyles of young people. Built-in appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and cooktops are abundantly provided. Advanced systems including electric vehicle charging systems, standby power cut-off for energy saving, security systems like CCTV, and home automation are also applied. On the 2nd floor of the building, community facilities for residents such as a lounge (rest area) and an unmanned parcel room are provided.
The site where Inhere Ssangmun is located was formerly the KT&G Northern Branch, and it is a super transit station area within a 4-minute walk to Ssangmun Station on Subway Line 4. Elementary, middle, and high schools as well as a public library are nearby, and parks and walking facilities such as Choansan are close as well.
Completion is scheduled for February, followed by move-in in March. Recruitment announcements and applications will be conducted in February. The project is implemented by KT&G.

An official related to the project stated, "Since this housing is a cooperation between the public and private sectors, there will be abundant financial support such as Seoul City rental deposit support and lease deposit interest support at housing costs lower than the surrounding market prices, minimizing rental burdens for demanders in their 20s and 30s," adding, "Once moved in, residents can be guaranteed residential stability for 8 years."
