Gwangju Procurement Service Confirms This Year's Procurement Project Goal at 3.716 Trillion Won
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Regional Public Procurement Service has set this year's procurement business target at 3.716 trillion won.
This figure is a 3.6% increase compared to last year's business performance of 3.5856 trillion won, with 3.0446 trillion won for domestic purchases and 671.4 billion won for facility construction by business category.
In accordance with the government's plan for early fiscal execution, it announced that it will lead the recovery of the local economy by executing early 2.3411 trillion won, about 63% of this year's contract target, in the first half of the year.
To this end, the Procurement Service will temporarily implement a special reduction of procurement fees corresponding to 10% for the first quarter and 5% for the second quarter until June 30, and will also shorten the contract procedure period.
It also plans to regularly check the early execution status and strengthen marketing activities for demand institutions within the jurisdiction.

Kim Gong-jin, head of the Gwangju Regional Public Procurement Service, said, "In order to supplement the insufficient private demand amid COVID-19 and uncertain domestic and international economic conditions, we will execute the budget early," and added, "We ask for active cooperation from public institutions in the jurisdiction so that it can be a stepping stone for the recovery of the local economy."
