On the 5th, at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics 2000m mixed relay final held at the Beijing Capital Indoor Stadium, China crossed the finish line first and won the first gold medal of the Games.
Previously, the Chinese short track speed skating team reportedly recruited several Korean coaches, including head coach Kim Seontae, who led the Korean national team, considered the world's strongest, and Viktor An (Ahn Hyunsoo), a former athlete and technical coach, in order to surpass the Korean team at the Olympics held in their home country.
In response, Wu Dajing, the star athlete of the Chinese men's short track team, was asked at a press conference immediately after the race, "How much did the Korean coaching staff help in winning this gold medal?" However, Wu Dajing emphasized, "This gold medal is my second gold medal," without giving a direct answer.
