Wildfire in Hwaseong Songsan-myeon extinguished in 55 minutes... "No casualties"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] At around 1:55 PM on the 4th, a fire broke out on a hill in Songsan-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, and was extinguished about 55 minutes later after firefighting efforts by the forestry authorities. There were no casualties from this fire.
The Central Wildfire Prevention Headquarters of the Korea Forest Service, which received the fire report, deployed one wildfire suppression helicopter, one firefighting helicopter, and about 40 personnel to control the flames.

The forestry authorities are investigating the exact cause, believing that embers from agricultural waste burned by a nearby resident, Mr. A (in his 70s), led to the wildfire.
