According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Office on the 4th, snow will fall from 6 PM on the 4th, during the evening commute, until 6 PM on the 5th due to the snow cloud band formed as very cold air passes over the West Sea from the northwest. Snow will continue to fall in the mid-mountain areas until the early morning of the 6th.

The expected snowfall amounts are 5?10 cm in the mountainous areas, 2?7 cm in the mid-mountain areas, and 1?3 cm along the coast.

The temperature is forecasted to be a minimum of 1?2℃ in the morning and a maximum of 7?9℃ during the day on the 4th, and a minimum of 1?3℃ in the morning and a maximum of 4?6℃ during the day on the 5th.

From the 5th, winds will blow strongly at speeds of 10?14 m/s in some areas, so attention should be paid to facility management and safety accidents.

With heavy snowfall mainly in the mountainous areas, major mid-mountain roads such as 5.16 Road, 1100 Road, and Cheomdan Road are expected to be icy and slippery.

A meteorological official said, “Snowfall along the coastal areas is also expected, causing icy roads in many places. We ask that drivers maintain sufficient distance between vehicles and pay special attention to traffic safety and pedestrian fall accidents.”

Meanwhile, from the early morning of the 5th, very strong winds of 10?16 m/s are expected over the seas around Jeju, with waves rising to 2?4 meters, leading to the issuance of a storm warning. Navigation and fishing vessels should exercise caution.

On this day, due to the astronomical tide, the sea level will be high, and with strong winds causing high waves, anglers and others near the coast should be careful.
