Applications Accepted at Eup and Myeon Offices, Annual Support of 300,000 Won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Hapcheon County, Gyeongnam Province, will accept applications for the Agricultural and Fishery Workers Allowance throughout February.
The county will provide the Agricultural and Fishery Workers Allowance starting this year to promote the public interest functions of rural and agricultural/fishery sectors, ensure sustainable development, and improve the quality of life for agricultural and fishery workers.
The allowance of 300,000 KRW per year will be paid to business owners and co-managers, including spouses, who are registered as agricultural and fishery business operators with an address in Gyeongnam Province from January 1 of the previous year until the application date.
Those with comprehensive income outside agriculture and fishery exceeding 37 million KRW annually, workplace insurance subscribers, violators of agricultural and fishery-related laws, recipients of fraudulent subsidies such as direct payments, or those who separate households while living with the business owner are not eligible.
Applications can be submitted through the town or township offices by eligible applicants until February 28, and after application, the allowance will be loaded and paid onto the Nonghyup Chaum Card by June.
As of the end of December 2020, the county expected about 12,000 beneficiaries and a budget requirement of 3.5 billion KRW.
