The specialized wildfire prevention and suppression team, which will operate for about four months from February 3 to May 15, will carry out various forestry-related support tasks in wildfire-prone areas, including ▲guidance, publicity, and monitoring for wildfire prevention ▲wildfire suppression, monitoring for flare-ups, and maintenance of firefighting equipment ▲forest protection and mountain area cleanup.
Dong-gu is recruiting 14 members for the specialized wildfire prevention and suppression team and will deploy them to wildfire-prone areas within the district during the spring wildfire caution period to monitor for wildfires caused by illegal burning and to be dispatched for initial firefighting in case of emergencies.
