Dear Corporation is the leading electric scooter sharing platform provider in terms of domestic market presence.
Through this investment, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance plans to establish a comprehensive business partnership with Dear Corporation based on customer usage data, focusing on personal mobility (PM) accident insurance, personal information protection liability insurance, and micro-mobility-related services.
Last year, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance made strategic investments in eight startups in the fields of insurance sales, digital healthcare, mobility, and subscription economy. This year, the company aims to proactively secure sustainable growth engines by investing in new technology sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), metaverse (extended virtual world), non-fungible tokens (NFT), and platforms, focusing on the digital transformation of everyday life.
