Hamo is a character based on the natural monument otter inhabiting Jinyang Lake and Namgang River in Jinju. The name Hamo comes from the Jinju dialect word ‘hamo (meaning yes)’, which signifies ‘agreement’ and ‘positivity’.
Jinju City expects Hamo’s unique friendly and positive image to play a significant role in promoting city administration.
