Joint New Year's Message from Co-CEOs Yujeongjun and Chuhyeonguk
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] SK E&S Vice Chairman Yoo Jung-joon and President Chu Hyung-wook stated on the 3rd, "We will take a step forward as a responsible energy company that can present realistic alternatives in the global carbon-neutral era by building a green portfolio."
The company's co-CEOs, Vice Chairman Yoo and President Chu, said in their New Year's message released that day, "Despite the continued spread of the pandemic and rapid changes in the energy market last year, we achieved solid results," adding, "This year, we will actively promote renewable energy and hydrogen businesses to seize changes in the energy market and lead the future new energy market as a Carbon-Neutral Energy Optimizer."
Primarily engaged in liquefied natural gas (LNG)-based power generation, the company completely revamped its business model last year by establishing a green portfolio based on four core businesses: renewable energy, hydrogen, energy solutions, and eco-friendly LNG. While accelerating this restructuring, they announced in the New Year's message that securing internal capabilities such as new energy technologies and global talent in a timely manner to enhance differentiated competitiveness and increase the happiness of employees and stakeholders will be a key focus this year.
