On the 31st, Chief Justice Yoo said in his 2022 New Year's address, "I hope that our society will prosper more justly and peacefully in the new year."
He emphasized, "If we overcome difficult times together through a heart that values people, warm concern for fellow citizens nearby, and solidarity, each member of our society will be able to fully demonstrate their abilities and enjoy a safe, free, and happy life with human dignity. This is no different from the values and spirit proclaimed in the preamble and main text of the Constitution."
Chief Justice Yoo also said, "From the perspective of the entire community, South Korea's international status is already very high not only in politics and economy but also in various cultural fields," adding, "Now is the time to gather wisdom to find ways to enrich the lives of all citizens based on these achievements."
