[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province has completed the sale of major provincial government-owned properties remaining in Daejeon.
According to the province on the 31st, after signing a sales contract worth 80.2 billion KRW with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on July 27, 2018, the ownership transfer registration for the former Chungnam Provincial Government Office was completed on the 28th, three years later.
The former provincial government office became subject to national purchase grounds following the revision of the Special Act on Provincial Government Relocation in December 2014. Subsequently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a sales contract with the province in 2018, paid the deposit, followed by the first interim payment in 2019, the second interim payment last year, and fully paid the remaining balance of 7.1 billion KRW as of the 29th.
