Changes in 2022
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Joo Sang-don] Starting January next year, the limit on the number of postponements for military enlistment dates due to startup activities will be lifted for venture and social enterprise founders as well as winners of startup competitions.
On the 31st, the government published a guide titled "Changes Starting from 2022" containing this information.
According to the guide, the number of postponements for enlistment dates due to startup activities was previously limited to two times, but from next year, postponements can be made without any limit.
Additionally, the scope of postponement for enlistment dates to take the qualification exam has been expanded from only high school graduation qualification exam takers to include those taking elementary and middle school graduation qualification exams as well.
