On the 30th, Lee appeared on MBC's 'News Desk' and responded to a question about how much the housing supply plan has been prepared by saying, "If we secure enough supply volume, we plan to prioritize and adjust the intensity accordingly."
He also explained, "I have recently made many detailed changes related to real estate policies. For example, if we need to increase supply, we plan to relax floor and floor area ratio regulations in Seoul's redevelopment and reconstruction projects, and have the public sector reclaim part of the additional portion to supply as public housing, thereby increasing the supply volume."
He added, "Since discovering new sites takes a lot of time, if existing multi-homeowners put their properties on the market, supply can be immediate, so we propose temporarily easing the capital gains tax surcharge to give them an opportunity to exit."
Regarding the controversy over the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) accessing communication data, he said, "It seems the CIO collected basic investigation data according to the law for matters under its jurisdiction. If that is considered surveillance, I don't know how to explain the millions of communication data inquiries conducted annually by the Yoon Seok-yeol prosecution."
About Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, he said, "Even the same content can be conveyed in a completely different way, but using angry and violent language will not help him either." Regarding Yoon's pledge to abolish the Blue House's Second Office if elected, he evaluated, "Even if I don't have the skill to make jang (fermented paste), someone else can make it, so the jangdokdae (fermentation jar stand) should remain. It seems he cannot distinguish between systems and people. It's somewhat dangerous."
