Gwangju City Completes 'Purchase Subsidy' Payment for 73 Casper Buyers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 30th that it has completed the payment of win-win type local job purchase subsidies to 73 Gwangju citizens who purchased Casper this year.
The city began accepting applications for the win-win type local job purchase subsidy from December 21.
Among the 175 people who purchased Casper, the city paid a purchase subsidy of 13,122,000 KRW on this day to 73 applicants within the range of acquisition tax paid by the purchasers.
Next year, the city plans to secure a main budget of 500 million KRW to provide Casper purchase subsidies.
The payment targets are Gwangju citizens and corporations who newly purchased and registered Casper, produced by Gwangju Global Motors Co., Ltd. (GGM), which was selected as the nation's first win-win type local job on June 15, 2020, and paid acquisition tax to Gwangju City.
Gwangju citizens who newly purchased Casper can apply by visiting the automobile registration window of the autonomous district office in charge of their address with the purchase subsidy application form and related documents or by applying through the Gwangju City direct reservation website.
Starting January 1 next year, with the partial revision of the 'Local Tax Special Cases Restriction Act,' the acquisition tax exemption limit for compact cars will be raised from the existing 500,000 KRW to 750,000 KRW, allowing citizens purchasing Casper next year to buy it without the burden of acquisition tax payment.
