[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] The Saemaeul Women's Association of Samhyang-eup, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (President Kwon Sook-hee) held a heartfelt Love Rice Cake Soup Rice Sharing event on the 29th for low-income vulnerable elderly citizens.

According to the Saemaeul Women's Association on the 30th, this time, with the support of social organizations in Samhyang-eup and Samhyang Nonghyup (Cooperative President Na Yong-seok), they were able to assist even more recipients. The rice cake soup rice will be evenly distributed to low-income households going through an even tougher time due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

Kwon Sook-hee, President of the Saemaeul Women's Association, said, “I hope many people spending a cold winter due to COVID-19 and the cold wave will enjoy warm rice cake soup and welcome a happy new year,” adding, “We will take the lead in creating a warm community full of compassion.”

Oh Sun-hee, Mayor of Samhyang-eup, said, “I thank the members of the Saemaeul Women's Association of Samhyang-eup who work hard to volunteer and spread love for neighbors in need despite the prolonged difficulties caused by COVID-19,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to ensure that neighbors in the community are not left out.”
